How to find points

I am new at this and would like to know if there is a way to find the amount of points are required to fly to a particular destination without joining their frequent flyer program?

Thanks

Huh? How could you use points to fly if you didn't join their program? I don't get it!

You dont have to be logged in to check award availability. just look for the award booking link on each airlines website. I know i can do it on AS, DL, CO, AA, UA & US. At least those are the sites I've tried personally

the individual a/l web site will have the info for their awards.....at aa.com, click on aadvantage & look thru that part of the site....find the chart....for example, from jfk-left coast is 15k mi each way.....others are similar....

there are also partner awards and alliance awards....aa is in the 1 world allaince.....partner award info is in another chart.....

good luck....

Always remember that there may not always be availability at the low level listed on the award charts. If doing dummy reservations, just becasue availability can be found on a certian day, doesn't mean it will be the same on the same day in another week or month. Also theres no guarantee the award requirements will be the same between now and when you finally have enough points to fly
