SQ: interesting fares

A lot of strange B/Y fares.

Check out JFK-FRA $801 ai RT in B class (upgradable with any *A miles, but must call so it may ruin the deal), $75 change/refund fee; Y class $951 RT, $50 change/refund fee. Many other cheap B/Y fares between other city pairs. Seems valid until March 31 for outbound flight, no adv purchase req. Mistake?

How full does the FRA - JFK segment go, ususally? I have never flown this route myself, instead flown FRA SIN on occasion...

They are, however, you might sacrifice refundability.

true. but full miles + upgrade might still make it worth it. If I want to use CO miles, I'd call CO right? Not SQ?

That's right, but I wonder if they will notice the low fare and alert SQ. I guess it might be wise to book the ticket and wait till fare is gone to secure the upgrade.

Also, I wonder with FD if the non-*A ticket number will affect the upgradability of the ticket.

Upgradeable fare is one thing.. getting the actual upgrade is another. Knowing SQ - it's gonna be hard.

I'm not seeing these for US-Asia or West Coast-Europe, but mostly for East Coast-Europe.

Very nice unannounced sale. Thanks for pointing it out! Let's keep in mind the rule "do not call while a deal is active" -- upgrades can be secured later.

Some west coast examples:

SFO-HKG $1140++ RT B fare
SFO-ICN $1250++ RT B fare

also try IAH-DME, IAH-SIN, JFK-SIN and others...

Thanks for the post, but I've tried over 25 different city combinations throughout the US to Asia and Europe and have yet to find one other than JFK - FRA on the SQ website. Is there another site?

Oh, you just posted. Thanks!

Okay, I've been searching for about a half hour and I give up -- where can I find Star Alliance online upgrade availability?
