UA SFO/LAX-SYD $749 a.i. / QF $811 May/Jun 09

Saw a fare sale on qantas.com and UA matched for a few bucks cheaper. AFAIK, valid 01 May - mid-June 2009. Hope someone else can enjoy this fare, simply because I won't be able to!

*** It's $749, not $799, for UA. Sorry folks!

OK, I read the wrong list of permitted classes, i.e. region 1...

Does seem to be NO MIN Stay, May 19-21 prices out fine.
But, without the upgrade, just doesn't work for me.

this is the trick i think etc... would you mind pointing me in the right direction on this... there seems to be a Canada thing going and also a PL type thing...

proof that i'm not an airline guy is that i'm the one who first posted the AC C class flight from US to canada to South America to MEX deal earlier this year

much appreciated

Um no, it doesnt say that. It just says you can upgrade all fares with miles plus a co-pay. It does not say that you SWU's will now be Sweet Spots

apologies, you have to click on the terms and conditions...

http://www.united.com/page/article/0...prgterms#jump3

Co-pay will not be assessed on Lufthansa paper upgrades, Systemwide Upgrades, Confirmed Regional Upgrades or 500-Mile E-Upgrades.

Still doesn't say anything about upgrading all fares with SWUs.

Similar with run to Mel at $ 711 AI (with a nice stopover at SYD too) May-June 09..

This is first glance and am trying hard to work it as Raffles .. am sure it can go lower. But a nice oz vacation.

Anyone advise on how to add more than 5 flight segments on THE website?

I think you are talking about one airline and Raffles is talking about another, RE: $579 all/in.
