UA/US: SFO-FLL; 240/AI, 10/03-10/04 (redeye!); 7026 EQM

Book on united.com. Routes via Philly on UA metal both ways, US down to FLL. SFO - PHL - FLL - PHL - SFO.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh, it's got two US legs, but, for any detractors out there, I say, stop whining The long legs are on UA. Best of all about US, truly, it makes you appreciate UA, and sitting on them again is like flying SQ.

A decent run in the age where 500 mile minimums do not exist. Did not check other weekends.

Hope it helps someone!

Nice EQM tally on this one, but the PHL connection worries me. As a 1K I've only had 2 domestic upgrades not clear, and both of those were on the SFO-PHL route.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.1.11355/546; U; en))

Oooh, there goes my brilliant idea to upgrade. Maybe loads will be light on the Saturday return.

I'm doing SFO-PHL-FLL-PHL-LAX, based in LAX. Its $256 A.I. for slightly less miles.
Have some expiring VX credits that I can use for LAX-SFO.

Maybe I can do this. And add a JFK-SFO rt for another 5200ish miles. NOT.

You can get 12156 EQM if you add a EWR-SFO to that itin for $399 more.

$260+$399=$659+$20 NJ Transit fare both ways+$50 cost of food=$729/12156=~$0.06 per mile. Damn, that's lame. But better than any international flight (~13000 miles for $1390!)

What I found completely and totally lame though is that if I try to price out FLL-SFO on the same dates, it turns up $500+.

This worked out well for me. Iím going 9/30-10/1: SMF-ORD-PHL-FLL-PHL-DEN-SMF $217 A/I 6900eqm.

Jeez, I hate those 6am SMF departures but Iíll arrive at FLL at 903pm and not depart until 1145am next day which will give me time for a nice long rest at some Priceline property near FLL.

If anyone finds a way to get this fare for January let me know, I've been looking for a good SFO-FLL rate and wouldn't mind going through PHL for some extra miles. So far the best I can find is $568, which seems too steep.
