NW: MSP-LAX $118 all-in

Travelocity shows a $123.00 AI fare from MSP to LAX. Doesn't seem too bad for a mid-Dec mileage run.

Nice find. $123 only good for some days of course. Interestingly enough, Sun Country Airlines offers same fare as well.

seems like same day turnaround is available.
Would this earn 100% Delta MQMs? If so, I might take this up to try to reach Platinum...

What would be the best routing to optimize the miles earned?

NWA.com hasn't loaded this fare just quite yet...looks like IND or MEM connections to maximize mileage.

On ITA I'm now seeing $118 all-in round-trip for 11/29 thru 12/13, one-night stay.

Edit note: guess that's the same as the OP's $123 on Travelocity (118 + 5.00 = 123).

Yeah, not showing up on NWA.com yet--but Fare Compare ex-MSP is showing, unbelieveably, $119 all-in from MSP to:
Las Vegas
Washington
Phoenix
New York
Los Angeles
Orlando
Dallas-Fort Worth
San Diego
Seattle
San Francisco
Fort Myers
Palm Springs
Books into K class, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong!

This is a match to Sun Country (SY) who is offering $98+ round-trips to all their domestic destinations. Sale ends tomorrow at midnight, but the NW fares may not last that long...

travelocity.com is with a $5 ticketing fee while www.nwa.com is without the $5 ticketing fee (if it is showing up there).

This is a very good deal as it even covers Thursday afternoon flights.

They are loaded on NWA.COM! At least, SEA-MSP return is That's all I've searched. Yes, they book into K class. $118.80 a/i for SEA-MSP-SEA in December.

Edit: at least from Seattle, a two night stay is required.

Just booked a bunch of seats for $91 with E-cert and $120 without. I don't know if my wife will even want to go, but oh well....

From LAX, lots of same day turnarounds, even on weekends. Leaving @ 12:30am, one would be back in LAX by 11am of the same day. It's a great deal for somebody short 3000 miles or so of making it to the next elite level... otherwise, not so great since it is about 3.8 cents/mile (YMMV) on the nonstop flights. The 1-stop itineraries seem to require an overnight.
