Just wanted to leave a quick update.
Both our trips are cancelled. No way to re-instate them. Money is already on the way back to my credit card. After 1.5hrs on the phone and 4th person on the line we were offered a 500USD voucher. Thats all what the reservation office could do. Everything else (Costs for flights to Dublin & Hotel in BKK) has to go officially through customer support.
What might have blown me up were overlapping reservations (ie. 11.12 - 20.12 & 15.12 - 28.12). Next time I know better and I hope you too :-)
I hope all of you who were ticketed can and will have a nice time in BKK.
And thanks very much for the find and posting.

What to do?
My tickets are shown as ticketed on aa.com even though we're missing a segment (DBU-BKK). On checkmytrip.com we are shown as confirmed but I'm waitlisted for that missing segment but my partner is ok for all 4 flights. I spoke to Maleve and they were very nice and they said that the tickets are getting issued today by 5 p.m. and that if there is no seat for me then my flights are cancelled. There is no charge on my credit card. What do I do? Do I call Malev and try to beg for a seat? do I just sit tight and not call them and see what happens?

On aa.com my tickets are shown as "ticketed" even though I'm missing a segment. On checkmytrip.com we are confirmed for the flights but I'm waitlisted for the missing segment. Noting on my credit card and it's been like this since last Thursday. I spoke to Malev and they were really nice but they said that the tickets were going to be issued today by 5 pm and that if a seat does not open up for me that my tickets will be cancelled. Do I call Malev and beg for a seat in economy? Or, do I just not call and wait and see what happens? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

I have just returned!!!!
I returned from my trip from Bangkok today!!!!!
Flew to Dublin from Amsterdam the 4th with Aer Lingus. The next morning I walked to the Malev counter very very scared that they would not allow me to fly. But to my relieve without any trouble they gave me and my girlfriend the boarding passes. Flew to Budapest, Business class was good but not spectacular, food was good. Spend a full day in Budapest. Such a pretty city.
23.30 the flight left for BKK. I did not expect from business class with Malev. But I was really impressed. No flatbed seats, but an unlimeted amount of legroom (I am 6 feet 3) and very comfortable seats. The seats looked very similar to the NWA and Delta business class seats I normally see when I walk to my economy seat for intercontinental flights.... 4 course dinner was quite good. There are private televisions, but they only showed three movied. Arrived in Bangkok after a good night of sleep. Bangkok is absolutely stunning. Spend three days in the city and went to the beach for a day.
Flew back to Budapest and took a budget flight to Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
Tips:
I booked the flight and within the hour I received a confirmation email and could see all 4 legs at aa.com
After 4 days my girlfriend's american credit card had been charged.
After my credit card had been charged I called Malev for my amadeus booking number. Received that and asked to change my seats. The lady tried to do that, but told me that she could not do that, but she would ask her supervisor for help. At that point I asked her (begged her...) not to do that. Think that may have saved me.
If you want more information PM me.

Not sure I understand KVS- you're saying that it is really dead and all those zero fares aren't obtainable?
