UA ORD-DEN & More! $24.80 w/ $100 ecert Xmas Day only

Feeling the pinch and would love to share the Holidays with family??

I have found many fares for Christmas Day travel under $50 Round Trip after applying the $100 off United e-cert (readily available on CC).

I just booked by myself and junior on ua.com ORD-DEN-ORD 12/25 Depart 6:00AM return departure 6:40PM. Grand Total per person $24.80.

Fares on some surrounding days such as the 24th with returns on the 25th were only $20 - $40 higher.

ORD - DEN - ORD $24.80
ORD - WAS - ORD $48.80
ORD - STL - ORD $32.80

OMA, PIT, CMH, DAY, IND, BUF, CLE, SDF, MSP, DTW etc etc
UNDER $30 All-In.

Fare looks available now through January. I was just checking x-mas which is usually blacked out for the good deals and fund this.

May be an opportunity for ORD people to top off some EQM's if the routing can be extended.

Nothing against last minute EQM (at a reasonable price) but I think we should stick to posting actual fares, since ecert is not a free publicly available discount.

Where can I get this e-cert?

E-Cert

The UA $100 off e-certs are available on CC as well as eBay & Craigs List. Also, sign up for email alerts from UA where they are emailed often throughout the year.

I checked several other cities including a couple SJC-ORD that came to $10.80 ow. Everything below $90 ow gave an error message to call UA reservations line.

Anybody successfully booked a trip below $50?

EDIT: I see that OP has but anyone else?

Pray tell the dates and times... I could use another 10K for 2 more SWU

I found most weekends with +2 stops when adding $100 certs at $23 ow.

Looks like I can do 4 one way trips SJC-LAX-ORD-LAX-SJC... on 12/1 and on 12/2 SJC-LAX-ORD-SJC for about $100 and around 4200 EQM's per day... still 1600 EQM's short.. but you can't beat the price... I need to find two more e-certs... Hmm....

I've only checked dates in Nov and Dec and none of them are bookable for me either nonstop or 1 stop. This is the error:

Can someone please PM and help me with this? I cannot seem to make it work.

Thanks,
A.

The Ecert Pricing key

If you get the error message it is because the BASE fare was under $100 and it will not allow the ecert to be used.

With most cities you must pay at least $24.80 (that's the best I found) in taxes and fees.

Don't forget, you can use them on one ways also ;)

While this is a good fare - I would agree with others that the actual fare be posted, not minus coupons one might have hanging around.

paytonc Nov 6, 2007 11:03 am

Per FareCompare, the $104 fare has been extended from ~5 Jan to ~13 Feb.

And yes, I'd prefer that quoted prices not assume coupons, unless absolutely everyone can very readily get said coupon (i.e., "printed in today's newspaper").

Oh, and with a connection in both directions (I like MSP), this is a fair price for a segment run, all on UA/UX metal.
