Their t&C is completely one sided OF COURSE.
The law in CA supercedes anything the company wants to post......
I'm prepared to file in CA if this isn't honored.
I wonder why the California Secretary of State has their corp as suspended?

Also someone made a comment this is a STARTUP. Not so.....

I think you're probably wrong about the airline - I doubt that Philippine Air was willing to honor these tickets.

Suspension? Will that doesn't necessarily mean anything sinister about the company; you will need to investigate this further.

You have a right to pursue this legally. Personally I would not do so under these specific circumstances, unless I had an associated concrete financial loss.

A decent number of airlines NW, DL, and UA come to mind, that now allow a 24 cancellation window.

PAL update

PAL phone me today putting the blame completely on CheapAir. They are very upset with CheapAir blaming the error on PAL's good name and are looking at pulling the plug on CheapAir's ability to sell PAL tickets. They feel that CheapAir should honour tickets that were bought, especially tickets purchased 4 days before CheapAir cancelled them.

From experience, these YVR-LAS flights are more than half empty anyway.
Its not like PR is running at capacity on this route.
It would gain them major brownie points and good PR for honouring these tickets, and its a big plane with lots of seats which would otherwise fly empty anyway!

I agree.

Had they sold LAS or YVR to MNL for $10 (or whatever), then it's a different story.

For the life of me, I don't understand why CheapAir and PR have failed to work behind the scenes to undo the carnage that they created.

results??

I was the original poster for the YVR-LAS special and I'm curious if anyone has got anywhere with their complaint? I have sent numerous emails to PAL and spoke to cheapair all without results. I'm ready to file a complaint with the California Consumer protection branch. Let me know what happened with yours. Thanks.
