LAX-SJO: $888 all-in Business Class on AA

Not fantastic, but a nice premium cabin run for those who care to.

LAX-SJO through end of schedule starting from $888 all-in Business Class on an I fare. It's only about $250-$300 more than the lowest coach fare so for those heading down to Costa Rica, its a nice bargain.

Additionally, if you route correctly, you can go via MIA, DFW, ORD, etc. I found routings on Feb 7-11 for LAX-SJO/SJO-MIA-LAX with the MIA-LAX on the 777 in Business Class for $908 all-in.

Minimum mileage would be around 5400 r/t if you did a straight LAX-SJO-LAX, but if you add in other legs you can get it higher - I think that SJO-MIA-ORD-LAX will offer the most, but if someone can find how to route it through JFK that would be even better!

Anyhow, for people on a challenge, its great too since the I fare earns 1.5 EQPs/mile.

Downside is that the fare has a 3-day minimum stay so cuts down on a weekend run.

The fare basis is: IEE07SIF

Not a bad run; if you can stay out of domestic F cabins it's probably worth your while.

Copa, Lacsa, Taca, United, Delta and CO all have similarly priced flights. You can often route CO through Newark, for the extra miles.

Not too shabby for BA folks either - LAX-SJO-MIA-LAX would be 280 tier points for not a lot of money and comfortable flying...

Those domestic segments book into A class.
