Mach81,
just out of curiousity, what are you studying? and whats your threshhold for a miliage run? I am asking cuz I too am a student again outside NYC, after a few years of working. I am trying to figure out what a good cost/benefit balance is... Problem is most of the sub 2cent/mile fares aren't out of the NYC area.

Most likely this M-Thu fare (SLX7E3U) excludes the transatlantic surcharges ($60-75) mentioned in the fare rules:
ORIGINATING THE UNITED STATES -
A SURCHARGE OF USD 60.00 WILL BE ADDED TO THE
APPLICABLE FARE FOR TRANSATLANTIC SECTORS.
AND - ORIGINATING GERMANY -
A SURCHARGE OF USD 75.00 WILL BE ADDED TO THE
APPLICABLE FARE FOR TRANSATLANTIC SECTORS.

AA Surcharge Rule Change
AA changed their surcharge filing rules today which broke our surcharge calculation module.
We are working on a fix. Most have a $150 fuel surcharge.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Don't forget, England is now doubling its charge on all inbound and outbound flights, even if you are just stopping over. From what I understand, this can easily add $80 to a trip with a lay-over in england. These fares might not include this tax. Anyone know the specifics of these taxes?

i'm not getting any of the fares to price out either - always saying no availability. (i got an alert in email w/ SEA-eur flights of around 268+) am wanting to go to manchester for the last week of march, so here's to hoping something pops up.
