Seat Counter Problem

Has anybody else been getting the "query failed" message from seatcounter.com for the last 24 hours or so?

I can't speak for everyone, but I've not.

I haven't either. In fact, I have never received that particular message from Seat Counter...yet.

Is this happening on simple requests (two cities, specifying an airlines that provides nonstop service) or something more complicated?

Kiwi Flyer Dec 2, 2006 10:00 am

Nope. But I did have a query return incorrect flight info - on a certain date a route has changed from one airline to another (different flight number, a/c type and schedule) which seatcounter didnt pick up despite the change being a month ago!

No failed queries yet, but I have seen some flights missing. I primarily check UA loads so any comments are specific to UA.

I guess I could ask for my money back... ;)

Yep, still getting it over here. Just trying the very basic nonstop with one airline specified. Has not been working in days for me. Very odd...

Is there another site or system I can use?

Update: Okay, I just tried it again and now it seems to work. It seems the issue comes in when I enter the same airline code three times. Ex: DL DL DL. Never had that before.

Why would you enter the same airline code 3 times? Other than the "NW trick", just enter it once and leave the other 2 blank.

EBCAK ;)

Don't know, just always have. My obviously ignorant understanding of how it worked was that if you entered only one airline code it would populate the results with that airline and then if there was space remaining would populate it with the other airlines that serve that route. I guess I did it to ensure I would only see the specific airline I was inquiring about.

As far as the "NW Trick" goes, aren't you supposed to be able to see award/upgrade classes (ie W,A,R) by entering NW twice?

I don't get those for some reason. Any tips?

I think on SeatCounter, that only works for UA.

That's what I thought originally too, but then right there on the seatcounter site (saw today for the first time) it said "Tip: Enter NW twice for Northwest award and upgrade booking classes"
Also, a red "*Northwest expert mode" note showed up at the top of the flight availability screen.

If that's true, it'd be great. So far, no luck though.
