Is this a cheap fare?
 

I haven't been to Asia in the past ten years so please forgive the question -- is this considered a bargain fare? I thought flights Ord-Tokyo were 500 last month? I was hoping to go to E. ASia in the next year but not if its this expensive...

Comparitively speaking, for this year, not bad...

SIN is a bit farther than NRT/KIX ;)

We're going FAT-SFO-KIX/NRT-SFO-FAT at the end of February for 552 all in, also a K fare. Haven't seen anything better from the West Coast, published anyway...

which software/utility gives you this type of output. Looks similar to KVS, but KVS doesnt give you options to view routing.

That's the cheapest fare to that part of Asia that I've seen since September. I remember there was an ORD-BKK fare for around $675 all-in. It was around for about a day and what's even better was it was a fare class that could be upgraded by SWU.

This fare is very tempting. I have been thinking about going to the Phlippines to get miles and the fare would cost me $720. I get the miles on UA for ORD-HKG-ORD and I can visit my relatives. For the same price, I can get this fare and go to SIN for two days and get 2000+ more miles.

So, what's more important, the relatives halfway around the world, or 2000 more miles?

Hehe. I've been playing around with sample bookings and inputing them in flying fish. The choice became even easier. The SIN run would cost me $25 more and I'd get 5000 more miles than the Philippines.

BTW, I didn't really appreciate why people love these SIN runs so much until today. I just realized that if I were 1P+, three of these runs would give 60K EQM's and I'd have enough RDM for a SQ F trip. Nice. Too bad I'm just a 2P, so I get only the 25% bonus.

Too bad I'm a nobody, so I get 0% bonus. LOL.
Anyway, this fare is not available anymore. :(

Also good ex-MCO for $723 all in with no minimum stay! 1/31, 2/1 and 2/2 departures available on UAL website. Nice price for 21k EQM. Must be booked today (1/20) though. K fare.

While a good fare this may be, think about the mileage run implications (it is the MR forum, after all ;)). There are some great runs you can construct with this, especially with UA and its relatively liberal routing rules.

I still see it as available when I try a dummy booking on travelocity. Sidenote: I took the plunge today. ORD-LAX-SIN-LAX-DEN-ORD. 21,035 according to flying fish. If I came back Tuesday instead, I could have gotten 300 more miles.

SWEET! See this as well for TPA on Travelocity. When I try to out it into ual.com, it does not work. Why?
