Tv?

The site is getting SLAMMED right now... according to one email, we were mentioned on the "Today Show" this morning.

Can anyone confirm this, or better yet, did anyone tape/tivo the Today Show this morning and could provide me with a copy?

Thanks!

Yes.

Peter Greenberg also mentioned my website too for some reason in that segment.

Already way over a normal day's hits so far in the USA day, and it is only 9.30am or so MST. Getting all sorts of wacky emails.

Pity. The idea is spectacular for those of us who can/would use the service. Thanks to Markbach and ScottC

On the otherhand, we are taking advantage of errors in people's business. I guess you can't blame them for wanting to utilze information to protect themselves.

Maybe after an initial flurry people will stop paying attention to their sites and ignore the incoming emails.

All the more reason to jump on a notifiction instantly.

Rita.

Mark, I've been told it was Matt Lauer who gave the report. And I, too, would love to see greater details - can find nothing on the website of the Today show.

Does the show air live on the west coast? Or is it a re-broadcast of the east-coast edition?

Any chance that someone in CA or even Hawaii could tape/tivo this?

Lauer is interviewing Greenberg this minute. If anyone is in Hawaii, they should start their Tivo about 5 minutes earlier than this.

Glen, what is your site? The NewYork airfares blog that now includes other cities or something else?

It was on the Today show talking about how some airlines will post 'wrong' flight fares, but that fares are being changes 250,000 times a day. They stated that this website is the one who 'searches' for the wrong fares and sends out blogs to let people know. It was rather short.

This website does not search for anything. It is the members who sometimes stumble upon these very very rare mistakes. The fare alert email list was created by MEMBERS, not the website. They are independent of each other.

The only sites shown were the ones I've listed above. Perhaps people are typing the wrong extension to flyertalk. I believe you have one registered that redirects to your personal site.

www.glenstephens.com/travel.html seems to be what folks mention in emails

No idea if he does, but may well be via that Blog, I do not know. Triple a normal full day's visits so far, and I have a 250 page website, so it gets a modest amount of daily traffic normally.
