AA: DFW-MAN business $530 all in

Just bought a ticket on aa.com for DFW - MAN via BOS for $530, although it's a coach ticket but you can select a first/business class seat on the 757, since they only have coach on this flight. Should make for a comfortable MR for just about 24k when booking online and with the current promo.

Once again, we have a misleading title.

When one sees "business" or "first" in the thread title, that usually means that the fare is booked into that class and therefore gives all sorts of bonuses.

This service is heavily marketed as coach only. I believe there will be a change of aircraft by departure time. Don't get your hopes up.

Had me going too, was reaching for my credit card and all

As DONINTATL notes this is indeed a coach only service on a coach only aircraft, they are also operating the same service to Ireland this summer.

The only possibility of flying in business would be an operational change of aircraft but I wouldn't be counting on it.

It's not a great coach fare either!

BOS-MAN is a seasonal AA route, and was operated w/ 757's last year as "coach only." AA elites get to reserve the F (domestic style F, of course) seats.

As someone who is doing his 1st ever flight with an American airline this summer from MAN actually - I'm pleased manink posted this, even if bit mis-leading, as offers an interesting insight into AA flight operations & policy.
