Need 2600 miles on NWA out of DTW
 

Having some difficulties figuring out how to put a mileage run together. I only need 2600 miles for Silver Elite next year, flying out of Detroit. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

3500 miles, $198 all in, I am sure there are better, maybe try Flint

My favorite trips to get miles ( I live in Detroit )

DTW-LAS ( or FNT-LAS )

leave at 3 PM. go to Hard Rock. gamble for a few hours. return on the 1040 PM

Usually in the 220$ range. sometimes less than 200

FNT-FLL right now is pretty cheap too--with an overnight stay.
187 $ through MSP.

I like vegas the best though since there is a red-eye ( and then once you make elite the red eye isn't too bad in first class )

www.nwa.com plenty of time options too if you want to gamble a few hours.

I really like the Kayak website. First time I've tried that.

You can do DTW--xxx--MEM--BNA and back for $118+tax round trip for travel Mon-Thurs or Sat with 7 day advance purchase.... fare requires a 1 day min stay, but you could do nested tickets out and back in one day in Dec., then again out and back in Jan., yielding 3000 on each round trip.

xxx can be one of a number of cities: IND, CLE, MKE, ORD, SDF.... see which midwestern city has availability for your date.
