$599 -- Bali from San Francisco, L.A., New York (Roundtrip)*
3 U.S. cities to Bali, Indonesia
Travel dates: Sept. 1 through Nov. 30
This fall, you can fly from San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York to Bali for just $599 roundtrip on Cathay Pacific. That's at least $100 off what you might expect to pay from the West Coast ... but its an even better deal from New York, where regular prices start around $900!
This deal is good every day of the week, Sept. 1 through Nov. 30 with no minimum night stay required. You can even choose to stopover in Hong Kong!
Flights returning to San Francisco or New York will have a mandatory stopover in Hong Kong, but you can book a hotel room on Cathay Pacific's web site.
Click the link for more information and to book your flight to Bali online with Cathay Pacific.

Yes, please be aware that this fare is booked in L class.
L fares on CX are not eligible for mileage accrual in either the AAdvantage or Qantas program.
Caveat emptor!

True about no AA and QF accrual, but L class on CX does earn 100% mileage in Asia Miles.

A CX Deal of the Month last year is actually why I have an Asia Miles account at all.

Too good to be true. Does anyone know how much more it would cost to "buy up" to a higher class of service in order to earn miles? Would it still be a good deal?

As pointed out above, AsiaMiles is a great program.

sorry, I edited the post to mention no AA miles, but it made the print really tiny....so I think this deal may only be a good one for Asiamiles customers or folks looking for a cheapy way to visit HK and Bali. Did anyone find out about BA miles?

And CX has great planes running this route, too. Not at all an unpleasant ride for me in economy class the whole way when I went there.
This is an awesome, awesome, awesome deal. I might even go for Thanksgiving with the family if it doesn't sell out those dates before we decide.
peace,
~Ben~
