Im trying to book a oneway ticket from WAS to MSP. On expedia, for $216 it shows
WAS-ATL (on Delta)
ATL-MSP (on NW)

I didnt know that one could do a two different airlines like this but expedia says that NW and Delta have some kind of agreement that lets this work (so I dont have to grab my luggage at ATL and recheck it in).

I went to each individual airline site and saw that
WAS-ATL was $88 on Delta
ATL-IAH-MSP on NW (using Continental codeshare) is $118.50

When I try to book going through IAH on expedia it gives me a significantly higher price and I don't want to buy two individual tickets because I would have to retrieve and recheck in my luggage at ATL and I would be screwed if there was a delay in my flight from WAS to ATL.

Is there anyway I can book this on expedia or any other site using Delta/NW going from WAS-MSP on August 30?

Regardless of how you ticket it, you're still hosed if something happens on your DL flight to ATL, since it's different carriers booked on different codes.

My suggestion is pay $28 more and book the following at NWA.com. It seems like more fun, and it's all on one carrier, so you're a bit safer:
