Mileage Run for Elite on NWA

I need 2088 miles on NWA to maintain Silver. Need to travel weekend of Dec. 14-15 or 21-22. Looking for cheapest and most efficient way to get it done. Preferably without having to leave the airport. Leaving from Minneapolis Saint Paul. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Very easy if you live in SIN or BKK. Go to NRT for the day and come back. Or even fly KL from BKK to TPE and come back.

Hint: You'll get viable and appropriate responses if you state which airport is your home one.

Be sure and try Continental also...you might get the miles you need on a connecting flight through Cleveland or somewhere like that at a pretty good fare.

(I'm in Houston...and I do the opposite, flying NW a lot to maximize miles and get status faster.)

I am taking a MR on NWA out of MSP on Dec, 14. My itinerary is as follows:

MSP-MEM-ATL Flt. #1858 & 824
ATL-DTW-MDW Flt. # 466 & 1421
MDW-MSP Fkt. # 1291

Total cost = $196

I hope this helps!

For you folks doing the MR on 12-14, how far in advance did you book your flights to get that itinerary and fare?

I am new to this and being based in DTW, am looking for help in getting started. thanks!!

Welcome aboard!

My philosophy is if I've got the money and I need the miles or want to make the trip, I buy the ticket as soon as I can. Those cheap seats are limited and sometimes go quickly. I try to buy mine during sales, even if it's a few months in advance, to take advantage of pricing.

Same here...if I think I'm going to be short...I start shopping during the sales and book then ......but for the run this past weekend I believe I booked about 2 weeks out

BTW: It was great meeting the 3 other MSP-ATL mileage runners...
