Where are you coming from?
SJC-SAN/BFL/PSP are fairly cheap with one-night stay. They connect via LAX, so you can get 4 segments for $120-$140.
I'm wildly guessing that you're coming from Seattle. If so, you could do something like this:
SEA-SJC-SAN, SAN-LAX-SJC, SJC-RNO, RNO-LAX-SAN, SAN-SJC-SEA. You get the idea...
