Continental JFK to HKG $289...$389

Seen in today's NY papers.....

Continential Airlines is flying a 777 from NY to Hong Kong for $289 till March 31.
It's $389 till April 30.

Maybe it's time to join Continental just to get this sweet mileage run.
On second thought, that's not a good idea because I'll have to start reading the Cont board.

I can't find this fare on Continental's reservation system. They say there are no flights from JFK, and the cheapest from EWR is $600.

Offer is valid on CO flights 98 and 99 only, for travel Mon-Thurs.

As always, "Fares are valid from Newark International Airport only and are subject to availability and may change without notice."

However, you can also receive 4,000 bonus miles by registering for code 50057 priof to your flights.

Also of importance, the $289/$389 fares are each way, based on round trip travel, which equates to $600.01 and $829.01 after taxes.

Duh! I guess I didn't read the title. The post itself does not mention JFK though.

The Hyatt and Hilton bonuses finish this month. Are there any other segment or double mile promotions than the meager 2000 each way?
Hell, I would love to go to Hong Kong for 3 days if I could make it worthwile mileagewise.
