Another California to Ohio "Blue Light Special". Tickets good starting January 3rd. Minimal restrictions.

What's the deal with CA to OH, anyway?? I'm remembering the ~$58-$68 RT CMH-CXA fares from last week.

Does everyone in CA have some long-lost relatives in OH, so there's always demand??

If you were in California, would you want to go to Ohio in the winter?

PDX to CMH/CVG quite frequently, too. I got a $130+/- fare last summer. With no minimum stay this was a very attractive mileage run.

Viajero Joven: two words: Turfway Park.

Darren: This fare is good until June 8, well past the end of winter!

Note that the LAX fare has a couple of blackout dates, while the SFO fare does not.

It's totally bizarre how this CMH set of fares keeps cropping up. I've been watching it for several weeks, off and on. This morning, I got an SFO-CMH booked at $125 INCLUDING THE TAXES/RIPOFF FEES. The actual fare must have been lower than the $128 which shows up now. A few minutes later, a second reservation yielded only the $125 (really $148 with ripoff+taxes) fare.

I'd wonder if I could get an even cheaper fare by waiting, but since I know United, I just booked this one, since it's an obvious steal (they have a tendency to revoke anything this delicious an hour later).

Turfway Park and CVG are both in Kentucky. I can certainly understand why people from California would want to go to Kentucky. :-)

How about those Wildcats!!!
