As: Jfk-sfo $132 rt

Day trip. Select dates in February. Saver (X) fares. Around 2.6 cpm.

Jan 27, 29, 31, multiple dates in Feb (including week of President's Day), Mar 1-3, 7-9.

Did a monthly search on the ITA Matrix.

This is a mileage run. You would have a little over an hour on the ground in SFO. Cheaper than any sale they have recently held.

Annoyed bc two of the days in February, I already have similar MRs booked and now they are cheaper but I booked X tickets. Need another snowstorm in Seattle or some kind of dinosaur attack

It appears this is part of a "flash sale" (but this time the fares are actually good).

With fares this low, you’ve got to go, go, go! Just book by 11:59 pm PT on January 13, 2022 for travel February 1 – March 9, 2022. Blackout dates and restrictions apply.

I grabbed a few last night, before the email went out today. I also noticed non-saver fare upcharge were reduced on certain dates: $20 each way - much easier to swallow than the $40 each way (or $50 each way to/from SEA/PDX)

Looks like AA and DL are matching.

Looking to book one of these as I make a run at AA Gold or maybe Plat (we will see) - anyone know if these are good value? Seems from what I can read that flying AS is a better value than AA metal

X fares on AS earn 25% of flown miles as redeemable miles and Loyalty Points, so roughly 1,270 of each for JFK-SFO-JFK in X.

Just wanted to confirm my understanding that if you need EQM for Status goal or Elite choice rewards advantage (120K/160K) for 2022 (until Feb 2022) you need to book on AA flights otherwise you get max advantage by booking on AS. Is that correct assumption? (AA Flight will get you EQM(5158) and LP 1540 and AS flight will get 7470 LP)

I booked a couple of trips, but not the super cheap fare. I upgraded so I can sit in a better coach seat. I think I booked a G fare for $96 one way. I'm flying and crediting to Alaska. My MVP status expires April 30, and if I fly at least 5000 miles by end of April, my status will be extended. This fares earns 100% mileage credit.

N.B. I recently flew AA ATL/LGA with MVP (Ruby) status and got upgraded to first on an E175. Laugh all you want.

Wow, Sometimes I wish I lived in NY.. Seems to get a lot of love towards MR type of fares. 4 of these bookings get you MVP for about mid $500s, 8 to MVP Gold for about $1100. Def worth it considering DL / UA ask for $3K in spending plus is lucrative considering AS is now with One World and AA and AA has had some good fares from the DC area in the last couple of years.

Yes but unless you are buying Main Cabin (or higher) or flying on AA, MVP is all but useless. I was going to let my status lapse this year but now with the AA tie-up there is value in it. We only get the love once or twice a year so you do have to act fast.

So I did something kind of clever... was supposed to do a turn last weekend, however they implemented the weather waiver so I was able to switch it to next month. Now for $16 more than I originally paid (but an even lower cents-per-mile rate), I'm scheduled for JFK-SEA-SFO-SEA-JFK with the last flight being a redeye. In theory I could have gone right back out when I landed, but IIRC the sale was only for Tues/Wed/Sat travel.

I saw that. Unfortunately on the only dates I could go, the price of either the early JFK-SFO or the afternoon SFO-JFK were jacked up; the only way to get a $132 fare was to misconnect by several hours.

JFK-PDX was also the same price (but had the same issue): As : Pdx - jfk $138 rt
