UA - SFO/LAX/IAH - HKG from $359

This has been posted on some of the boards already, but good enough to post here as well, in case someone may have missed it. Some really good fares to HKG from SFO, LAX, IAH. as low as $359 from SFO.

Just did a check from SFO or LAX to HKG on google flights For the next several months .nothing showing in the quoted price range. Regretfully maybe too late to this party . Any update on the sites that were showing this?

Travel to HKG has generally dropped because of the "disturbances."

I got MCO to HKG for $587 yesterday for a mileage run in January.

I got it Tuesday to Thursday to avoid the weekend. The disturbances seem to be on the weekends. Of course by January, it is hard to know what the situation will be.

8/21-8/28 and almost every Wednesday thru Oct if you're looking at GF. Can also do SFO-TPE-HKG RT with CX on the TPE-HKG segments.

Is HKG affected by protests as well or are they safe (as in operating as usual)?
Thinking about purchasing separate itineraries to hop onto other SE Asia regions. Not planning to leave the airport at all.

It is safe. Shops are still open, people is working as usual. But keep in mind that transportation might be affected.
And for travelers who are planing to do a transfer in HKG, keep in mind that airport or your flight could be affected in next few weeks.

Was just there a few weeks ago. Airport is pretty far from downtown HK. Could spend a few days in Tsim Sha Tsui and not even notice the protests were happening.
