[SKYTEAM] BOS-LHR $255+ round trip ~7.9 MQM / 3.2CPM
I just booked a weekend round trip from Boston to London in Economy Class (V) for $260 in September. Currently seeing fares with 3-4 segments for $255-$280+ on for dates in September/October/November. Fare available through KLM, AF, DL. Some segments include Virgin one-way.
I booked through KLM with 4 segments BOS-JFK-LHR-AMS-BOS for approximately ~7.9K MQM and 3.2 CPM. ***Try booking through the KLM mobile app if you are having issues with Google Flights or KLM/AF website. It took a few try's for my fare to go through! https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...66b0494a60.png https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...4e46f1ccaf.png |

$260 across the pond is ALWAYS a good deal. Glad you found one that worked for you!

The only way to get it for $260 is to have a connection on the return such that the Delta system charges you $17 for APD (short haul, under 2K miles) instead of the ~$102 for the long haul flight. I bought a main cabin version of the above for $414 USD on delta.com, but then I couldn't select seats on Virgin and realized KLM will give me free E+...so tried to call to "downgrade" it and save $140 (the fare upcharge from basic to main). No dice. The basic fare they priced out over the phone charged the higher APD and thus made the savings less than $70 roundtrip. I now notice that KLM and AirFrance have corrected theirs, but Delta still has not, and even the Diamond Desk claims "the price is the price" and perhaps there is an error (a Supervisor said she would have it researched and get back to me, but not holding out any hope). If anyone can still get the basic fare with a '2' in front of it, please PM me or provide a direct link. Many thanks in advance. |
I was able to get $243.93 basic economy (VS out KL back), Sep 13-15, by searching directly on Delta's site - fare code is VK7L86B1. Not sure which fare has a 2 in front of it.
