United, IAD-PVG, $403, 17360 PQM, 2.32 cpm! Other cities, too.

Available from February to April, IAD-PVG, for $403, 17360 PQM. You will need a Chinese visa for this trip and an overnight stay in Shanghai. An example is in this link. Good journey.

Edit:
Several other departure cities (DCA, BWI, PHL, BOS, ZFV, PIT, MCO, PHX, etc; just plug in your local airports) have similar fares. see the google flight link below.

Your link is showing a price of $1025 USD. When I try to bring it up manually, I can get it down to $732.

ALTHOUGH - if you leave a day early, I can find an itinerary that doesn't even require a Chinese Visa, for $419 USD.

The fare is available for the OP's original dates as well (Mar 8-11). You have to book it directly through United.com and the $403 fare is available.

Correct that if you route back via NRT on NH you will meet the requirements for a visa-free 144 hours in Shanghai. However, the OPs original dates/flights would require a visa since you are returning directly to the US and not via a third country.
