Happy 2019!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.

Appears to be AA Q fares?
But price available on BA and AY also.

also from SFO, OAK, SJC and maybe more. Away from my desk at dinner

think the smarter airlines are offloading a few seats well ahead & slowly filling aircraft. Doesn't matter how good a deal comes out later, if you're already booked to go somewhere.

Even loss leaders are better than empty seats. Talking to airline reps, managed to drag out of few of them, that forward bookings are awful, except in busy periods like Xmas. In Australia, summer school holidays go from mid Nov to end of Jan (states vary & so school have up to 9 weeks off)

any update on flights

Hello, any update on the below flights. I checked several months in google flites and ITA Matrix, didnt see anything checking ota's now
update: no luck on the usual suspect OTAs. Went to Notiflyr's web site. He posted several of the below flites on his site at around $250.00 but now the links for the dates he checked are around $470, at least SFO to FCO. Thanks Notiflyr for you numerous good posts. maybe i am to late to the game on this one.

I'll check to see if the LAX fares are still alive..
EDIT: just checked, looks like the LAX/SFO-EU fares at $250 ish are now gone. Maybe they shifted focus to the NYC fares below

@gallen5555 Check LAX-CDG, it's about $75 more, but you should be able to find it in the low $300s if you're interested in Paris (or could do a short LCC flight from CDG to FCO)

AA/BA $317 ZRH-JFK/EWR return late October thru early March 2020 with very good availability for a 7+ day trip with short stopovers in LHR. +116$ for main economy

Good AA fares to Paris from various regional airports, scattered dates fall and spring. Best deal is Indy at $365 basic/$485 main cabin.

MAD - LAX $398 - $429 basic with $56 each way in main. AF with 1 short stop in CDG, Iberia $20 more for non-stop flights on certain days. Late October thru March with thinner availability on the edges. In November can get 1 stop in JFK via MAD on Delta instead. Good availability early December.

MAD - JFK IB/BA/AA $255 Basic Economy Nov thru Mid Dec. Early December seems best for non-stop flights on Iberia at least one direction. Can even fly XMAS day, but main costs more that day. 1 stop on at least one of the legs. Iberia wants $180 more for main. BA 50 Euros each way to main, so can be booked in main for less than $400. AA comes out to $390 in main.

Star alliance also to EWR at similar prices. Deals from MAD to US on OneWorld in Oct-early Dec spread to SEA, ORD, DEN, MIA, PHX also (AA hubs besides DFW).
