Major Alliances from North Americans Hubs to China for $500 USD ai

Happy new year! Now that the new year is upon us this means that we've got another 365 days to complete the milage runs necessary to achieve top tier status on the major alliances (*A, OW and SkyTeam).

Came across some fare sales being offered by the big 3 US airlines (DL, UA and AA) for roughly the same price ($500 USD) which will net about4 CPM which should hopefully help our quest:

UA/AA - ORD to PEK:

UA/AC/AA/DL DEN to PEK:

J2simpso - thank you for all this research!

A couple quick caveats. Most of the links that you're posting here are for one week runs, and that's not a mileage run. Mileage runs are typically defined as straight out, straight back, reducing costs by not needing to get hotels, etc.

Secondly, if you ARE making a pure mileage run (or for that matter, ANY 'straight out and back' run to China, chances are good you're going to need a visa, and that adds several hundred dollars to the cost of the trip. That can be supplanted by making a connecting run to Hong Kong or other South Asian locale, but that also adds expense and time.

Good fares, and I hope I can use them later this spring.

The Chinese visa application fee is $140. The visa is valid for 10 years. Even if your passport (with visa on) expires, you can use the visa with a new passport.
For a pure MR deal to China, you can refer to this thread: UA, USA to China OJ from $303 ai
