Happy 2018!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

I was able to pull up LAX-IAD-BCN RT for $354 on all UA metal on ITA Matrix -- OTA is Priceline.

Search 9-day itineraries starting on Saturdays in September through end of October.

Not quite a mileage run, but good for a vacation maybe? You can also get mixed-metal itineraries (return via LH/LX) for shorter itineraries around $391 all-in.

Looks like UA has extended the deal between YYZ to SIN from September through early December! I'm seeing prices as low as $779 CAD (~$602) on entirely UA metal with the itinerary earning over 21,000 miles:

Safe Travels,

Also with some AC metal involved, may depart from LGA.

Great prices also to FCO, AMS (or ZYA via BRU), DUB, from USD 388.

~Same price (less miles) from YVR and YYJ, or an OJ from YYJ to SIN and back to YOW etc. May include ANA metal and/or AC metal.

Both airlines, Eurowings and Norwegian, show quite low prices but you have to pay a lot of etra cost. Only if you carry one suitcase the prices are not attrctive any more not talking about food, drinks etc.

And be careful Norwegian does not have a real business class even though you find them under business class offers in Momondo etc.

From FRA you can get much better offers.

Perhaps this digresses from the Good deals thread, but I find Norwegian to be quite sufficient for travel needs. From my experience, they have been more accepting of normal sized carry-on luggage than the traditional carriers like LH/SK/LX (even while traveling with Sen or Gold status). I have found Eurowings to be quite nasty about dimensions & weight of carry-on luggage though.

As far as food is concerned, you would be better off carrying on board a decent meal from a local restaurant instead of the mediocre grub served by the traditional carriers (UA/LH/etc) on much higher cost tickets.

James, this has been extended into 2019 long ago. Requires greater than 12 hours on the ground, so no immediate turnarounds like I have been accustomed to doing. And, safe travels to you as well!
