Happy 2018!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

LOL $30 RT for a day (or week) in PHL. insane.

Also, thank you for the tip on how to revert back to the old google flights interface. Basically just use this URL (with the f=0 arg)

Wow, I pop over to this thread to look for some cheap flyin' and stumble upon the answer to a question that an hour of infuriating web searches the other day yielded zero on. THANK YOU!!!

Did the exact same a couple days ago. Nobody was talking about the new interface at all, let alone how to revert back to the original version.

Any suggestions on where in FT to post-- to reach a wider audience? From all I have learned here, it would be good to make some small contribution.

Looks like there is a thread on google flights, in an obscure Tools sub-forum. And they do discuss it. Apparently there's a little icon at the bottom left corner that switches the UI. Probably not going to reach many FTers though. Ah well.

EDIT: Ah and this, posted this morning on the blogs. Good, it's catching on..

Yep, good to see it on the blogs. And yeah, I had checked the FT travel tools section when I did the aforementioned googling and couldn't quite find anything on it, guess it slipped by me (speaking of redesigns, I don't know how to quantify it, but this new FT redesign in still unreadable to me. The letters blend together and I find myself just completely missing things or not being able to follow text.)

Even the Fresh Prince of Bel Air could afford that without asking Uncle Banks...

Etihad offers one way fares to various indian cities (BOM,DEL,BLR...) from various US gateways for $350 and above. Good price for one ways to position to that part of world. Also offers free stopover in AUH so potentially you could use it to get there with a later scheduled onward flight.to india.

Spirit: LGA -> LAX round trip $167 - 4920 miles

Don't think anyone flies Spirit, but if you're looking for a cheap flight to go coast to coast.
