Similar dilemma, as I used the outbound EWR-SFO-SIN as part of my 1k challenge, since completed, and the return is coming up. I don't see doing 1k requalification for next year and my OZ account is over 25k with plenty of time left on the 24 month clock, so thinking I should credit to OZ (5500 vs 11k+ on UA since it's a K fare,) to work on the 40k for *A G longer term. If R fares become available, I'll definitely UPG and then switch to OZ, but right now I'm waiting on an RPU to clear for the LAX-EWR segment. It's a long flight in coach....

Booked 3 of these for this month. Tempted to squeeze in a 4th to just be about 12k away from re-qualifying for 1K.
