UA: $150 RT - LAX-PHL via ORD, IAH or SFO - Weekend turn possible

UA has $110 RT in BE or $150 RT in normal human class for LAX-PHL. Connections in ORD, IAH & SFO to maximize miles.

Weekend turns possible; e.g. out Friday; back Saturday: https://goo.gl/flights/sVnr which is 5563 miles or 2.6cpm

HT to GTFO, which clued me on on this one.

Also works as PHL-LAX

UA:$150 LAX-PHL G-fare is a very nice find! Looks like it also works in reverse.(PHL-LAX), as this is actually based on a one-way fare.

BTW, max routing would be LAX-SFO-PHL for >6000 PQM, followed by LAX-IAH/IAD-PHL for >5400 PQM. Connecting via ORD actually minimizes mileage.

Yes I picked up to round trips one through SFO and another through IAD. I also scheduled a long layover on the return at IADso I can visit the Turkish and Lufthansa lounges..

Good idea but how do you access since it's domestic? UA Club membership?

*G status lets you access to these two lounges. UC membership is not required.

Does *G status with a domestic ticket let you into all Star Alliance lounges, or just TK and LH?

There is another thread on star alliance gold privileges and lounge access. I would seek there. Happy holidays and safe travels

MR?

How is this an MR?
Routing via SFO or IAH, the best I am seeing is 5600/2 (K fare) = 5.4 cpm.
(I agree its a good deal, but its not an MR.)

UA K fares earn 100% toward Mileage Plus....so, it's ~2.7 cpm (depending on routing). There are no UA fare buckets that earn 50% toward MP if booked on the UA website. N earns 0%, and everything else is 100% or greater.

[EDIT]Perhaps since you are based in Canada, you would be crediting toward AC? I'm not sure what the earnings would be for their program...[/EDIT]

Jebus. The Basic Economy version of this fare is now down to $68 roundtrip, which I'm pretty sure is a record low fare for a transcon. https://goo.gl/flights/mazx

The normal human version is still $155, so the math hasn't changed for a MR, but if you really want to get from LA to Philly there will probably never be a better deal.

Fare is gone. Lowest I see now is $250+ for "human economy" and $210+ for "basic economy".
