To clarify, the flight returns to DCA, not IAD.

Can't find any trace of this fare at this point, good find for the OP, but in playing around just now the more interesting thing for me was that I hadn't realized just how cheap DCA-LAX RTs are in general these days. About $300 in coach, nonstop with AA or DL, across many dates. Not bad!

If I was seriously interested in requal'ing for plat, I would have jumped on this. A couple months of expensive, but short-ish work trips early in the year netted me a bunch of excess EQD that i could offset against the negligible EQD earned with this itin.
