Hey FT, Long time lurker, first time poster

Sadly I can't post a link yet so you can reconstruct on either Google Flights or Matrix. Getting this to price at sub $300 maybe tricky, however there a quite a few fares along this route around this price

Nov 7, 2017 - Nov 28, 2017

Available throughout november till early december

I've been watching this fare for about a week. The price quoted is available through Lufthansa's website only. I can see flights right through to August 2018, so it's quite attractive. Also possible ARN-MIA for $316, ARN-JFK for $278 and ARN-LAX for $291.

This books into K fare, which earns no miles in many FFPs. Also beware, I believe this fare is with no checked baggage allowance.

A cheap way to fly across the pond, but that's about it.

All intercontinental Lufthansa tickets come with free checked luggage. If you're using Miles & More and you're eligible for status bonus that would work out to less than 4cpm for you.
Other han that, it's an amazing fare but no mileage run.

As I mentioned earlier, that is not the case. These are light fares, which I guess is why the cheaper price (without baggage) is available only directly from Lufthansa's website.

@headingwest wow sorry! They must have recently changed that, I wasn't aware they do this on intercontinental flights now! Thanks for the heads up!

Edit: Just saw they implemented this a couple of weeks ago on certain routes from Scandinavia to North America...

Is this ARN only?

And it seems you can't do something like ARN-JFK/LAX-ARN with it.

Nice post, OP, thank you for joining and contributing!

FYI, there is a BA PE fare on this route for under $800 through EOS.

I did this Light fare for the Thanksgiving holiday, it worked well. Paid less than $300, got 2400 miles awarded in UA MP. Nobody was checking hand luggage (thank god - coming back my bag was stuffed ). All in all, would highly recommend.

I'm assuming you're talking about 2400 RDM, not 2400 EQM, right?
