UA/LX + others (BA) Germany - LAX/SFO from €370
Just happened upon this yesterday as I was wondering why TXL - SAN priced so high and why don't I try a rt to LAX instead for my dates in late Jan & early March ... and boy did that price drop!
Valid from November - March 30th: I booked on UA: Jan 30th / March 7th: 227.50 Euros airfare for a total of 383.68 EU after fees (35 Euros just for changing planes at LHR, so a different routing might even bring this down more but I wanted to be on a 787). Swiss: total of 393 Euros. By chance I did a search on a newsletter link and BA undercuts them all for 344 Euros (all for the mentioned dates and from TXL). Other airlines might be joining the madness, do check. Via LHR outbound and via IAH and EWR on an admittedly slightly crazy schedule, I will get: Award Miles: 2088 PQM: 12805 |
Also, to SFO for €370.72
Note minimum stay requirements: Category 6: Minimum stay requirements TRAVEL FROM INBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR MUST COMMENCE NO EARLIER THAN 6 DAYS AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE OUTBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR OR - TRAVEL FROM INBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR MUST COMMENCE NO EARLIER THAN THE FIRST SUN AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE OUTBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR. Complete UA Fare Rules for that fare: Code:
United (UA) KLNCU7D BER to SFO |
ST V/X fares are also in that ballpark, mostly from DUS as far as I know; starting from late August.
Also, the minimum stay requirements are standard, especially for K fares. |
