UA/Star, ORD-PVG returning to YYZ, $318 all in
 

I just stumbled across this fare and wanted to post in case someone can benefit. The dates I checked were out on December 1st and back on December 4th (I'm unsure of date range applicable for this fare or alternate cities).

Great find! Was able to validate in GDS, booking into G, fare rule GLE03DM4 GLX03DM5.

Nice find. Can route back through ORD to YYZ or YUL. Also works to PEK instead of PVG. November dates.

Works from LAX for a little more and you can route back through LAX if you pick YUL.

Also available from SFO and back through SFO.

Very nice! Trying to find something similar from NYC, but cannot find outbound in G, only K, which makes it about $100 higher. Still, routing back through EWR is a plus.

Does this routing allow a 144 hour TWOV at PVG?

If in from HKG and out to anywhere in the USA then yes. Or in from USA and out via HKG should work, too. Just make sure you do not go in to China from the same country you will depart to.

ETA: This looks a lot like a self-dumping open jaw to me. YQ is ~$45 on the o/j and $370 on the r/t.

Wondering if anyone can find a way to get this on the island hopper through GUM to HKG?

Won't be able to through Google Flights. IME it only shows up on United.com and its always $500 more than straight HNL-GUM. You can always SDC onto it though.

It looks like this is just for November and December. Has anyone been able to get it earlier or later than that?

Booked outbound late March, inbound April and originated from EUG for $300 more. Doing a 72 hour PEK TWOV, then thru IAD to YYZ. Booked on Expedia to get HKG-PEK segment on CX. Thanks everyone for the info!
