Landed LAS last night. Home airport is DCA so connectected LAS DTW DCA and arrived home this morning. Routing for entire trip was as follows: IAD AMS CDG PVG KMG CMB AMS LAX HNL LAX LAS DTW DCA. Found amazing tour companies in PVG, KMG, and CMB on TripAdvisor. Took a week but it was really an awesome trip. About 40K MQM, and MQD return on MU coded flights CDG PVG KMG CMB would have come in handy for 2019 MQD requirements! Found MU coded J fare CDG PVG KMG CMB for apx. $1800. Yes, jacked up the price of the trip a bit but wow the difference with full flat J seats! I'd do it again! Anyone else completed this trip?

Currently flying AMS-CMB-AMS-LAX-HNL-OGG-LAX-SAN-LAS-DTW-BOS-AMS. Skipping the final part AMS-CMB. Started last Monday and so far without much problems. Was supposed to fly right now from BOS to AMS but was able to change the flight to tomorrow free of charge. Really impressed with Delta so far. Both ground service, and flying staff is great. Also the Delta app works great.

Why are you skipping it? I hope you don't get penalized.

Oh. Well, let's hope it doesn't cost you miles for intentionally skipping a segment. Some airlines frown on that. I've only skipped a final segment before when new travel plans came up and changing my existing ticket was too expensive. Delta hasn't minded in those circumstances, as I've let them know and they deleted the segment I intended to skip.

This is what I call frequent flying in terms of flying nuts like us! But what the heck, why not after all?

Okay guys if you look above I had a crazy trip. I just landed at LAX after flying JFK-DXB-LHE-AUH-CMB-AMS-LAX. Immigration in Colombo was brutal. They didn't understand what I was doing; thought I was a drug mule. Any thoughts how I can change my return? Gotta head here there 2 more.

What exactly do you want to do? Where are you and where do you want to get to?

I'm flying towards HNL right now. I have OGG in the morning tomorrow and then back to LAX.

Doesn't really matter where I go, BKK/DXB would be nice.

I just want to complete my flights and avoid Colombo. I'm not sure I can even get through immigration.

Copy your itinerary in your reply--I am on mobile, too hard to search. Were you making an immediate turn on arrival? Were you detained? Did they tell you not to come back? I didn't have any issues on arrival (on MU from China), but departure was 4 days after arrival, so not so suspicious. Re advice on changes, are we to assume you have nonrefundable fares? This could prove to be expensive. Dates? More details please...

This information will be very helpful.

Monitor all flights very carefully for schedule changes or delays. Use any opportunity to call and reroute. If you get any delay at all try and use that.

Yes immediate turn around (on a tourist visa and not a transit visa; I think this was my screw up). Not detained but questioned at the desk by two people for 20 min. They didn't tell me to not come back, but were suspicious. And yes non-refundable fares, however I am a diamond medallion.

My itinerary is as follows -

Completed: JFK-CDG-DXB-LHE-AUH-CMB-AMS-LAX-HNL (enroute to HNL)

Left:
Dec 1st.. HNL-OGG-LAX
Dec 2nd.. LAX-SAN-LAS
Dec 3rd.. LAS-LAX-BOS-AMS
Dec 4th.. AMS-CMB

Separate ticket:

Dec 7th.. CMB-AMS-LAX-HNL
Dec 8th.. HNL-OGG-LAX
Dec 9th.. LAX-SAN-LAX

Thanks in advance. I booked it with an Amex or a Chase Sapphire reserve which allegedly have really good trip protection.
