Happy 2017!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

Just a decent deal out of SAN. Just saw this and thought I'd post it. Random availability Feb-May for 2 day+ trips.

SAN-SGN on UA/NH.

This example gives you 17k PQM @ $605 USD:

https://goo.gl/flights/8RBN

Also similar prices/dates to BKK as well. Some of these flights route through DEN-NRT which I think would be an interesting flight.

NYC-LAS should be a decent value in J on mainline carriers, now that JetBlue is enterimg the market with Mint. Same for BOS-LAS

Y will get cheaper too, especially after the NFL is over.

Bear in mind that it is a HBO fare. Nice deal though if you can survive without checked bags and only 8kg carry-on.

AA: SNA <==> EWR $60 one way. Books in "O" (Economy, but not "Basic Economy").

Selected dates in December, 2017, and January, 2018. I'm seeing Mondays and Wednesdays eastbound, and Saturdays and Sundays westbound.

I had no idea they sold those on long haul flights. I thought it was basically intra-europe only.

It's fairly new IIRC and only between select departures in Scandinavia to select destinations in the US. Certainly puts pressure on DY.

DL: ATL-SEA-ANC $434 for 7258 MQMs (5.9cpm)

Hey y'all:

Found a pretty good milage run opp for those based in ATL or can get here easily. And on Delta!

Route is ATL-SEA-ANC-SEA-ATL with overnight in ANC. Maybe other options available.Lots of options open in December. Below is one example I found.

This earns 7258 MQMs for only $434. Not bad!

Enjoy - hope this can help someone!

Google flights shows ATL-SLC-SEA-FAI-SEA-DTW-ATL for $445 on Dec 8-9. On the delta app I see $502.

I just did the ATL-SLC-SEA-FAI-SEA-ATL mileage run last month, don't know why they added Detroit on the return leg. 7866 MQM for various prices. Little extra for going to Fairbanks (and the Detroit leg helps too). From what I understand cheaper runs to Alaska from ATL are pretty much year round available.

DL: TPA-ATL-LAS // LAS-DTW-TPA == $308 for 4979 MQM (6.1CPM)

I found this for us TPA based flyers -- with a 4 hour turnaround in LAS. Just enough time to hit MGM for a slot or 2! Looks like it is available several Saturdays in December. I booked for Dec 2nd, but that date is now gone.

This will cover what I was short for my status renewal.
