Happy 2017!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:
  • When posting 'Good deals' fares: please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices.
  • Note that you can subscribe to this thread: go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".
  • This is not a fare request thread. Any fare requests will be deleted.
  • This is not a how to book a fare thread.

Double Open Jaw

ANA

350-420 USD

SFO/LAX/SJC-BKK/MNL

KUL-YVR

Sept/Oct/Nov

You can add a stopover in TYO for another 100 USD

Appears to be bookable on ANA's website.

It's already out on the usual suspects, so I don't know how long it will last.

I've been playing with it, but it doesn't seem to allow many other options than the above.

Looking at the fares on ITAMatrix, the base fare on the outbound of the first fare I looked at is a lot larger one way than on the fare I posted.

So it's not just a question of YQ being dumped, if it is a fuel dump.

But I'm the furthest thing from an expert on fds.

I do recall ANA having something similar to this a year or two ago, only the flights were via Manila and Saigon(?).

Last year had an identical fare, lasted about a month before they figured out the fuel wasn't being calculated correctly. You can route through your origin airport on the return and just get off.

Not quite as good as last year, you could start the flight from many destinations within US, plus it seems harder to get UA Metal on transpacific flight on the return.

ORD - SIN, $365, DL, Late August & Thanksgiving

ORD - SIN, $365, DL, 2 stops, $0.0187/mile. Bookable on Delta. Cheaper on other OTAs. Sample dates 11/23 - 11/30. Late August departures, as well. Stopovers permitted (connects in NRT).

**EDIT** Appears availability is late August, late October, and over Thanksgiving. Additional sample date: 8/24 - 8/31.

**EDIT** My apologizes, MDW, not ORD. Thanks @ Steveman518
