Ugh, I would be all over these fares to Europe if we still earned distance based RDM's. This is painful to not take the wife over for Valentines Day. $800 for dinner and no miles is just not worth it.

$800 round trip to Europe for 2 people is a steal even without miles. A coach award ticket to Europe on SkyTeam is 60,000 miles RT with Delta.
It's not feasible for Delta to offer a fare this cheap and give 18,000 Skymiles.

Otherwise, I agree, $400 R/T to Europe is great if you want/need/are able to take a longer trip. I just can't justify it for the weekend like I used to when we got all of the miles.

I just saw ATL-ATH for $469 in late March/early April. On AF metal, mostly, but some KLM options. Haven't seen this kind of Europe fare in years. The other crazy thing is DL is usually super stingy about low fares out of ATL. So I checked some other options.
ATL-LHR: $507
ATL-CDG: $419
ATL-TXL: $489
ATL-VIE: $488
ATL-WAW: $436
ATL-BUD: $453
ATL-IST: $446
ATL-ARN: $439
But not to FCO, MAD, BCN, AMS, BRU. $900 and upwards. Can't figure out a pattern here, but I'll bet some of you smart people will come up with something.
Sat. night stay required. Seems to be good through the first couple of weeks in May. That Paris fare is insane--I was thinking about using miles to LHR or MAD this spring, but I might just go to Paris instead.

I booked DTW-DUB via ATL earlier today for $404. Routing via CDG and AMS were also available. Also saw similar fares to CPH and a few other places in Europe. Great way to use that $500 bump voucher sitting in my account. ^
AA was showing similar fares earlier this afternoon when I stumbled on them on itasoftware. Availability kept disappearing before my eyes as I tried to find dates that would work for me. I punched in FNT, MBS, and LAN to see if the DTW-PHL/CLT was my limiting factor and all of a sudden DL routings via DTW popped up. Went back to DTW as my origin and it was wide open.
