I'm also seeing BOG to CAI for sub $500 on Google Flights for mid-April thru early May.

Edit - Also found this on Google flights and can book on United.com - 1,595,148 Colombian Pesos = ~$476 USD for 16,308 miles (2.92 cents/mile). I'm sure you can find a lower cent/mile with more clever routing.

This seems to be an even larger issue. I'm now seeing BOG to DXB in April on Google Flights for ~$400 USD.

Edit - These are repricing to ~$700 on United once you pick the flights from Google Flights.

Nest a PEK-IAD-PEK inside that for just $166 more. This could be very interesting...

This nesting thing can make this trip insane. And you can do it all as a true mileage run, if you really love sitting in planes.

Found this option through Google Flights...

1) bog-mia-ewr-pek
2) pek-ewr-clt
3) clt-iad-ewr-pek
4) pek-ord-mia-bog

I used the dates March 5, 7, 9, 11.

Time on the ground...
Between legs 1-2 - 2 hrs in PEK (3-5 PM)
Between legs 2-3 - 8 hrs overnight in CLT (10 PM-6 AM)
Between legs 3-4 - 1 day (3 PM to 5 PM next day)...might be able to do same day

Total travel time - Leave at 9:30 PM on March 5, return at 6 AM on March 12.

Total mileage - 33,895 (may vary based on routing)
Cost - $501.50 (may vary based on exchange rate...ticket booked in Colombian Pesos)
CPM - 1.48

This is tempting...get a few good books, some good music, and get comfortable. Someone who's better with UAL policies than I might know if you can use miles to upgrade any of these. If so, that makes this even more tempting.

That's insane, what booking class? > turns out to be G class.

Anyone trying to ticket this with a US billing address?

I keep getting "The fare and payment options below are based on selected flights, traveler information and a Colombia billing address. Have a billing address in another country? Select your billing address country. Any change made may result in a different fare and available payment options."

Any ideas? Please help!

This is a very interesting discovery. However, China's 72-hour visa waiver program only applies to onward journeys to a third country or SAR (Hong Kong or Macau). So I wish you well and hope you can make the gap between legs 3 and 4 a few hours.
