Actually I have he same question. These 500ish fare are available from Boston as well. Has anyone done next day turn around? Would that be suspicious for the immigration officials?

Always a good idea to just answer the question asked. Don't lie, but also don't elaborate or add extra information on your own. My last encounter at the US-Canada border went like this: "You came all this way just for 2 days?" "Yes."
