What is OJ?
And where are you finding this fare? I just see 600/700 range. Feel free to send me a private message if this is "one of those fares"

OJ means Open Jaw... not a round trip.

It doesn't seem hard to find... I can see it on aa.com if you do a multi-city search with EWR-HKG and PVG-LGA. You would need to buy a separate ticket (or otherwise find your way) between HKG and PVG.

Thanks OP.

Anybody able to find anything before the March 22 devaluation? Best I can find is around $550.

EDIT: Well nevermind...

Per fare rules:

SEASONALITY - PERMITTED 31MAR16 THROUGH 16MAY16 ON THE OUTBOUND TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR. SEASON IS BASED ON DATE OF ORIGIN.

Per fare rules:
If I'm not mistaken, the AA devaluation for March is for redeeming trips using miles. The major one is in May.

That's correct, I should have clarified I'm aiming to stockpile and redeem a bunch of miles (for a honeymoon later this year ) before the March 22nd award chart devaluation.

Right on. I'm kinda in the same boat. I've got a long MR that returns on March 12th, so it will be crunch time to redeem!

Have they officially announced the date when earned miles will be based on fare paid not distance flown? The AA website still says "In the second half of 2016 ...".
