IB: BRU-MAD-NRT Returning to FRA (~$240)

Credit to Flynous for original post.

I just booked BRU-MAD-NRT // NRT-MAD-FRA for ~$240rt.

2 hr layover in MAD in each direction (although for slightly cheaper, you can spend the night).

Playing a bit with the dates, found sub $240 deals leaving on the 30th, returning on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 21st. Probably more to be had.

http://www.skyscanner.de/transport/d...conomy#results

This links through to final purchase at http://www.fluege.de. The initial prices on Skyscanner show at sub $200, then increase book slightly higher on Fluege.de.

Have confirmation from Fluege.de and valid booking ref from IB. Class shows on IB booking as "Lowest Fare" - not sure what that is.

OPost mentions LIN & ZUR departures and LON returns also.

Haha - that would have been a bunch easier than my playing with the German webpage. Oh well!

FYI - These book into N and S class and give 100TP (seen by using the confirmation code in the BA website).

I got Q outbound and S inbound, only 75TP but 24K avios. It's impossible to check booking class when buying on Iberia, I couldn't find it. Checked on Quantas website later.

MAD-NRT-FRA was 192 euro (147) for November dates.

Is there 24h cancellation rule for Iberia? I did search online but can't see a lot of information. There's something about 24h cancellation when booking on a phone.

Often you can hold for 72hrs for 5. If you take the ticket the 5 is included, not extra.

Got one circled in for 10/28-11/02

Different prices in the EU? That's shameful! Just booked from Spain on IB website 5

IB's website is repricing some of these fares...on a different note, this earns virtually nothing in terms of miles with AA. Maybe 1,000 miles due to the minimum mileage requirement.

I cant recall the miles but BA reports that I will get 100TP for the trip, which is good for me.

The fare(s) are valid for travel after Oct 16 and before Dec 16. Dunno about 2017 though.

Earning roughly 27k for me and 100 TPs -- and a nice weekend in Tokyo.
