You can also open jaw with LUX.

I saw P and V classes on expedia when I did this

And unfortunately - that's what makes this not a mileage run. P and V earn 0 miles.

On what program? On Turkish own Miles & Smiles it makes 25% and 50% respectively.

So assuming LUX-IST-LAX return = 16325 miles at 50% that makes 5.7cpm (Euro) or 6.3cpm (US$)

Not such a good deal from that perspective. But still a very cheap way to get to NYC or LA while enjoying a connection in IST (great lounge for *G). If you like to fly...

I would suggest looking at the Turkish Airlines thread before making that claim. Quality has declined steadily at the CIP lounge in IST the past few years. The lounge used to be stellar, now it is "ok".
