I always have trouble finding MR deals based out of Chicago, but I came across a few last night. Heres the best one I found, which is actually 2 separate RT fares.

ANC to MSP is only $160, and yields 5348 mqms, 3 CPM, so to get to ANC is the only issue. Actually, wherever your based, get to ANC and you can do that run a few times. But for Chicago, I found:

First trip $411
DEC 4 ORD>DTW>SEA>ANC DL 2060, DL 935, DL 1699
DEC 6 ANC>SEA>MSP>MDW DL 822, DL 2318, DL 5794

Second trip is the ANC MSP leg $160
Dec 4 ANC >MSP, DL 1088
Dec 5 MSP >SEA >ANC DL 589, DL 2423 (or 1699)

The *only* thing with this is because you're booking 2 separate flights, if you get delayed on the MSP > ANC leg, I don't know how well they will handle rebooking your ANC >MDW. Does anyone have experience with delayed flight and missing the 2nd flight?

I had 3-4 tickets booked in a row and ended up missing one which caused them to need to rebook everything else. The agent was amazing and did it very fast without hesitation, but I am a DM... YMMV.

The ANC-MSP $160 rt fare is actually an ANC-SEA fare that allows a routing through MSP. Obviously you have to do a same day return to get the fare to work if you search for it ANC-MSP.

I think you are making this too hard. You can do a weekend run out and back Sat-Sun for 5CPM dead even. Better choice IMO.

Just booked this roundtrip from MDW with two of the ANC-MSP flights, so MDW-DTW-SEA-ANC-MSP-SEA-ANC-MSP-SEA-ANC-SEA-DTW-MDW.

Nice long weekend at under 4cpm :)

ANC RT Hawaii 11,528 MQM 4.0 cpm
 
If in ANC anyway, look at rt to Hawaii HNL, OGG, LIH, KOA via MSP from ANC and return LAX and SEA to get over 11.5k MQM for 4.0 cpm. Many quick turns, but only costs an extra $50 to $100 to stay 24 hr+, AND warmer than MN or IL.
