UA/ANA LAX-NRT-BKK $635 for 16,680 PQM @ 3.8 c/PQM
Hi, first ever MR post. So, sorry if this has been duplicated, I did try to search to see if this was posted and didn't find it. Fare has been up for some time but thought this might help someone. If I've made an error or omission please feel free to point it out
LAX - NRT on UA metal (787), quick layover in NRT then NRT-BKK on ANA (777), all flights can be ticketed/marketed as UA booking into K class. As far as I can tell, should earn 100% PQM unless you find a flight that is marketed as ANA. RDM obviously another story now, but should be based off of $525 PQD which includes $125 base fare and $400 international UA surcharge . Dates are widely available August thru December, both quick turnarounds and long term stays (even over Xmas, New Years) are available. Some can be routed thru SFO for a few more miles. I can't seem to upgrade the ANA operated flights. Can find some cheaper fares on non *A airlines.
Sample dates that I booked:
Dec 9-14
I hope this helps someone on a status run. Also, just wanted to say thanks to the FT community, such an awesome place that has helped me a lot.

Not bad at all, not an MR for Aeroplan earners, but a good price for sure. Def been looking for a BKK fare, seems like a couple have come up recently. I have no time/money/need for anything else in 2015, but 2016 planning leaves me well short on segments so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more of the the same.

ANA-operated flights within Japan with an international connection; and ANA-operated flights that are trans-Pacific or intra-Asia(excluding flights between Japan and Australia, mainland China or India)

Nice fare and one I might need. If you're interested in RDM, UA K can still earn 100% on a few carriers:

SQ could be a great option for those who transfer for suites anyways

Thanks HeartMD -- definitely gonna book this one!
You can add HNL in there (LAX-HNL-NRT-BKK); brings the total PQM to 18,522 and cpm down to 3.57. I was worried about being ~20K short of maintaining 1K (and hitting MM) this year, so this is perfect .

HeartMD, thanks I appreciate the post! I was looking for a MR around this distance. I'll be in LA in September so I tacked on Fri Sep 11th with 32 hours in BKK and a turnaround arriving back Monday Sep 14th. Priced it at $634 yesterday, but it came down another $30 this morning so I booked it at $604, that'll absorb some of my change fee for my original return from LAX, ha. Thanks again! 1K here I come!!!

Thanks for the post HeartMD. Am I understanding this correctly - this books under United K class, which actually rewards back to UA at 50% of actual miles flown (see below)....so 8,340 miles RT (16,680/2)? 7.6 CPM doesn't seem that great?

RDM is a different story.. Your picture above includes this string in the link:
eva-air-united-earn_56a787_640_0_0.jpg
So I'm thinking this is the UA earning in EVA's program?
