JFK - Norway (OSL) for $305 R/T

Another (even cheaper) flight from New York to Europe with Norwegian Airlines. There seems to be plenty of dates available from November 2015 – January 2016 as shown on the calendar below. Most prices are between $305 – 400 USD round-trip with taxes included. The fare calendar makes it really simple to find the cheapest dates.

I'd be worried more about my wallet than the frostbite

I just had my family vacation ruined by these clowns after they delayed my flight by 77 hours and really didn't give a crap about it.

couldn't you claim EU261/2004 and get back EUR600, more than double than this quoted USD305 fare?

Norway isn't part of the EU.

You'd think wouldn't you? They claim that mechanical issues are outside of their control and therefore they are not obligated to pay.

Norwegian is supposedly sending me EUR 1200 (600 each) as compensation for our 6.5 hour delay back in May 2014. Took 9 months for the Air Passenger Complaint Handling Body to reach a decision, which ended up being in our favor. Norwegian asked me for bank details, but has taken 4 months and I still haven't received the money.

As 'Norwegian Reward' gives you points based on $$$ spent, this isn't really a mileage run deal. Granted, it's a good deal before you pay for luggage and in-flight meal...

As the Norwegians are known to say ....
"There is no bad weather - only bad clothing!"

If you have ever seen the ladies there, well ... you really do get what you pay for.
