This seems to be available on select dates through the end of the year at least (I didn't search any further than that). Possible routing through DFW (for maximum mileage) or including LAN's nonstop JFK-SCL (for the 787). Both are AA codeshares throughout ^.

If you are worried about earning miles (some of LAN's flights aren't) you should book the AA codeshares.

Ticket by today, mine was N fare-class all the way through. Use google flights to link to AA

The deal may be dead now, but I found that there is a free way to get more miles. If you go from LA, on the return you can actually go to DFW then MCO/ATL then LAX for the same price. MIA will be $60 more

Is it dead? I know the fare rules originally said 6/15, but, e.g., the first itinerary in my OP I see for $746.80 on aa.com at the moment.

Or over July 4 weekend, I see (Jul 3) LGA-DFW-SCL-PMC, (Jul5) PMC-SCL-DFW-AUS-JFK for $792 (~5.5cpm) or $822 for full EQPs (~5.75cpp). $897 for a same day turn and full EQPs.

Similar flights to SCL on LAN was $1K in business through GIG/GRU just this week! Some may still be available if you look!

This fare, as well as the $1035 J fare on JJ/LA, are both gone, as far as I can tell. In general, though, there have been great fares to Central and South America recently.

For example, there are great J fares to PTY and SJO at the moment, and with the double EQP promo this year, you can definitely get something below 6c per eqp. For instance,
