Def hoping this comes up again next year. I'm kinda booked up for this year and this prices out to $1200+ CAD in 2016.

FWIW, 60 mins is totally fine for PTY. Small-ish airport, CM runs the show there and no customs clearance necessary when transiting. If both flights are on time, you have a chance to stop in to the Copa Club or grab a quick bite also.

sorry I have to ask, but what is "ai"? I see it all the time. still new to the forum so I don't quite get it. I figured rt means roundtrip, but "ai" I don't understand

"all in" or "all included"

Interesting, it's not in the glossary.

What if it's not 016 ticket stock - do you still call United, or Copa? (still a pre July 1 flight)

You call United. The upgrades are processed thru UA Mexico actually.

Of course, after July 1, no more Copa upgrades.

I don't have time to see if they ring through, but I still see departure dates later this week, and early next on ITA Matrix. I posted this flight deal over at Financialwisdomforum early last Saturday morning, so it's been around a few days already.
