Looks like it's an OJ, LAX-BKK//CGK-LAX (via DFW and HKG both ways)

Very impressive. Why OJ; if it is a MR the extra positioning can only increase the total cost? Anyway, great job. I hope your SWUs clear: the DFW <-> HKG would be brutal otherwise. :)

CGK-BKK isn't expensive, but will add 100$ to the trips' overall cost.

Maybe a dumb question but - how did you put this route on a 24hr hold if it contains multiple partner flights??

This does not apply to codeshares, only to flights marketed by the partner carrier. All of the OP's flights have an AA flight number.

Good question. Wouldnt mind doing this if it was quick enough i didnt have to adjust my schedule too much....

Booked mine last night (took an hour and two agents to get correct but worth it!) for late March - $695.

This will be my first time transiting most of these airports - are there any transit fees/visas while going between?

Assuming US passport, no visa needed in HKG or BKK.

CGK has "visa on arrival" which is just another name for charging you $35 pointlessly. :) As always, having exact change ready will help.
